Health question

I haven't been sleeping good lately.  I end up waking up in the middle of the night and staying up.  I all the sudden have to stretch uncontrollably to get things moving up again..or that's what it seems anyway.  After about two of these a night I end up waking up since it's like stretching in bed.  I feel like I have to be careful not to over stretch because I feel like my insides will tighten up.  Anyone know what this is??

I stopped taking one of my flovent a few weeks ago, not sure if it's because of my asthma or not.  I can't remember if I did this before I got off of it.

I don't' feel like it's bad enough to go in to the doc, but it's very annoying and I am losing TONS of sleep over it.

Any ideas?

Jon goes through something similar.. he actually gets charlie horses at night in his legs.  We got him on Calcium, Magnesium and potassium, and it really has tapered off quite a bit.  We don't know what it is.. I just kept researching it and came up with possible deficiencies.  So far, this combo is working for him.

A doctor has diagnosed me with RLS already.  This seems a little different though.  It's like tightening up and I have to expand my chest, everything.  Maybe it's my asthma, I'm trying to get off some of this junk but maybe I should restart it again.  Hmmm.   I don't know.

I can't speak on the stretching, but I do know that I suffered from incessant insomnia this summer as a result of artificial sweeteners, specifically CL Peach Iced Tea and Strawberry Orange Banana.  Rarely drank plain water, but got over 1/2 gal of CL DAILY for about 8 weeks...I couldn't sleep for more than 3-4 hours at a time when I could get to sleep and found myself eating in the wee hours of the morning.  Gained about 6lbs and quit cold turkey...was able to sleep through the night within a week.

Wow, that's very strange!  I've never thought about that.  I know my husband once in a while mentions the stuff in my diet coke.  Thinking that has to do with my RLS.  Guess he heard of it somewhere.  It makes a little bit more sense now.
