What Have You Done Today to Make You Feel Proud? Scale Ho's
I'm trying to do better today, but there is a whole crew of good looking guys in my yard clearing out pine trees. Dayum! How distracting is THAT?For alla you scale ho's...and you know who you are...this is a link to what I read last night about why your scale is a liar. It won't keep you off of the scale, but it will help you figure out why all of the fluctuations.

Well I did a couple of days ago, but I actually went out and bought the 2002 Atkins book and a book of recipes to go with. Thanks for the link Friday, Mary. Are the flax meal muffins in a cup really allowed on induction? They sound like they would be a nice change from my frittata of the week.
Now I just need to make time to read the boo****il then it's just catch as catch can with low carb/high protein. I figure it will make transitioning to induction easier if I have quit the B&J's strawberry shortcake ice cream before hand.
Water has never been my problem. I start the day with a 32 oz. iced tea, no sugar, and when that is gone I just refill the cup, usually at least 2-3 times a day. It's a wonder I haven't floated away yet.

However, when you move up a few rungs on the OWL ladder and you get to low glycemic fruit, you can have strawberries (I like mine ice cold) dipped in homemade whipped cream. To DIE for!
You know something else that would be interesting is to take the online classes on the Atkins site. They're free and very informative.

It would really help your weight loss, and help you feel full if you try and drink more water. The old rule I've heard is drink half your body weight in ounces of water each day. For me that would be 197 ounces, or over 6-32 ounce mugs of water each day! (I think I need to work on my water intake too, now that you mention it...I know I'm not drinking THAT much a day) Work up to it, don't try to jump up from no water to a ton of water over night...you'll be going potty all day if you try! (trust me, I have tried this, not fun!) Also, stop drinking a few hours before bed, or you'll be getting up all night to pee too! (it really, REALLY doesn't work to try and get all your days water the last couple hours before bed...tried this too, and I would have gotten more sleep if I slept in the bathroom that night!!)But as a bonafide Pepsi addict, I will tell you that I feel so much better now that I'm not rusting my pipes with that kind of stuff anymore. Excellent decision you have made!
