I can eat about 4-6 ounces of protein (steak, pork chop, chicken breast or fish) OR about 3 ounces of pasta or rice...both with about 1/3 cup of veggies... Does this sound reasonable to all of you? Thanks for your input... L*

Laura, I am not sure if i pushed it how much i can eat in one sitting but i know i can eat about 3 oz of meat in itself and then some veggies as well so i guess my meal would be about 5 oz in total... There are times when i can eat so much more then others but i think that is all of us, i try to not stuff myself to much, just eating until i feel good. I am not sure if that helps you any.... I think I can eat around 6-8 oz total. Maybe less. Its kinda hard to tell. Esp. when I eat salads, for some reason I can eat more salad than anything. But I think usually somewhere around 3/4 - 1 cup or 6-8 oz. It depends on what it is too. Meats I can only eat around 2-3 oz. the lighter stuff like yogurt, cottage cheese, etc. maybe around 4-6 oz. Oh and I discovered soy chips, big mistake. They are tooooo good. But at least they are low cal, low fat, low sugar. Shannon Arnold

I can eat quite a bit depending on the texture of the food. The harder the food, the less I can stomach. But what you are having may be good enough for you. It also depends on how far out you are. Marie

L* 1 slice of pizza, a whole mcd's chicken ceaser salad, a bout 1/2-3/4 paneral asian chicken salad and the bread!!! or 5 oz meat (chicken/pork/lamb/groud bee/turkey) and side veggies ~ 1/2 c broccoli etc. Really depends on the day, time, the density/testure of food. Carbs such as crackers tons! Iwouldnt dare to try or guess!!!Protein much less, to use the tool fill it with things low in cal and that take up space! There is no normal we are all individual, usually I can eat a cup of food give or take..I can eat more if I spread it out, ie. eat one slice pizza and wait 15 min I can eat another, this goes to show we can defeat the tool, eating till mildly full, staisfied then stopping is important, slider foods do not fill or eating/drinking together pushes it out sooner or drinking too soon after (now at 3.5 yrs I wait 1-usually 2 hrs post eating to drink) to stay full longer!I say it is not how much I can eat but how much I choose and what I choose to eat!!! HTH! Pouch rules is a good guide as well! *although I dont believe in the cottage cheese test telling u anything other than how much cottage cheese u can eat! http://www.waynesmith.net/lapband/faq/pouch_management.htm Take Care, Jamie Lap RNY 10/9/02 Dr. Singh 320/163 5'9'' (lost 45# before surgery) Plastics 6/9/04 & 11/11/2005 Dr. King http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/members/profile.php?N=c1132518510 "Being happy doesn't mean everything's perfect, it just means you've decided to see beyond the imperfections!"
