Today was my nerologists appointment for my numbness issues. I brought my blood work with me and he wants more done... checking b1, b6, D and E. SO we will see if anything shows up there deficient. THEN he did a needle ***** test on my feet ...and we concluded my feet are numb as im not bothered the least by being *****ed with a pin...so i have to get a more intensive EMG test done. Ill keep everyone updated, i think they will call me tomorrow to schedule this test. hugs lisa

Hi Lisa, I haven't been on very much lately, so I did not know that you were having this problem. I am so sorry to hear this. I sure hope they "pinpoint" the problem and get you feeling well again. I am also having some numby pinchy feelings down my leg from time to time but I am sure mine is my usual back problem yet flaring up again. But I also have a strange numb spot on the very point of my shoulder where the joints meet right on the outside of my shoulder, its weird but not worrying me yet. I don't know if these things are related to having the surgery or not, I doubt it. I will be praying for you, that they find the problem and relieve you of it. hugs back at ya Shannon

DEB thanks i hope im so lucky that its nothing. HE is really thinking i have neropathy going on so who knows. THEY will test my muscle responses and make a full diagnosis as well as checking more b levels the b1 and b6. SHANNON, thanks for your reply as well, my surgeon took this matter very seriously when i talked to him about it in april.... and at first we had me take more b in the form of a b complex... then took a b12 shot.... (which i now started useing the nascobal nasal spray for) being i still have had no changes the surgeon wanted me in right away to see a neurologist. SO now its more tests and hopefully some answers will follow soon. thanks everyone!

Lisa, Sorry to hear you are having problems. It sounds like the Doctors are checking things out for all the posibilities.I had numbness from the waist down at one time but it was caused by a pinched nerve. It's scary when you don't know what's going on.Hopfully after you have all your tests done, they will get to the bottom of this and get you treated and back to health.Take Care.Darlene

Hiya Lisa, I'm sorry to hear of this issue arising for you. I know that B12 defficiency can also lead to peripheral neuropathy (numbness) but I imagine the docs have already checked this. Good luck in your quest for an answer and please let us know what you find. In the meantime, thinking of you.... Hugs, Amy
