My mother has a date !!!

Hi all, I haven't posted about my mom yet so here goes. She has been approved by insurance, and has a tentative date of Sept. 1. Because of her age and health issues she has had to go through some extensive testing for her lungs and heart. We are waiting for the final results as she had her echo cardigram and other tests done yesterday. She is 69 years old, the Dr. was a bit apprehensive because of her age, so he ordered the testing to be done. I am confident that the Dr. will not operate if he feels that there are any dangerous issues beyond the usual risks. My family feels also that if she has nothing done that we will lose her early due to her health issues caused from her obesity. She is starting to get very nervous about it. I was not at all afraid or nervous about myself but am for her. I know it will take 20 years off her and she will feel so much better, it has felt like that for me. I don't know if you all feel the same, but I literally feel like I am in my 20's physically, well for the most part. Anyway, I would greatly appreciate prayers for my mom to be sent her way Sept. 1. Shannon, Hello hun ~Hugs~ I am glad that your Mom had her date and I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers for a safe and smooth surgery. I wish my Mom could have it done but she is 72 this year and has some heart issues that I know she would never find a Dr that would do the surgery but I totaly understand and agree with you on feeling so much younger now. I SOOO wish my Mom could feel that, she has bad knees right now that keeps her from doing much so I know how much she would benefit from the surgery but with her heart it would be very risky. Shannon, That is so cute you weren't concerned for yours but are worried for your Mom's. I would feel the same way. I will keep your Mom in my prayers. I agree with you that they will not do the surgery if it is to dangerous. I wish her good thoughts and much success. Hugs, Tina
