It sure was!  As for the labor...26 hours and a c-section later!!!!  UG!  LOL  I remember saying I'd go through that again, too!

I did have complications early out, I was rehospitalized 3 times for dehydration, stricture, nausea and vomitting, but once things calmed down, it's been smooth sailing. Even with my "hiccups" along the way, I have absolutely no regrets, other than the common one, that I wish I had done it sooner.  But I feel everything happens for a reason and purpose and my WLS happened when it was supposed to and I am thankful every day that I had the surgery.  It's improved my quality of life, I no longer take any meds for HBP or diabetes.  Now if I could only win the lottery!! Ask anything you want, it's all a learning process even after the surgery. Take care, Sue

You have to stay in shape. My grandmother, she started walking five miles a day when she was 60. She's 97 today and we don't know where the hell she is. - Ellen DeGeneres

Great question! No regrets whatsoever. It was the absolute best thing I've ever done for myself....ever.
Good luck with your journey! Keep us posted.

Regrets? One HUGE one: I wish I had done this earlier on in life. I was 43 when I had my RYN...if only...... Shoulda...Woulda...Coulda... Even with the small complications I have had/have (Internal Hernia, motility issues) I would do it again in a NY minute! Best of luck to you, Karen

I think most of the folks posting probably won't have any regrets -- I know I don't!

There is NO SUCH thing as an "ODD" or stupid question.  There is ALWAYS someone out there that is wondering the same thing.  I had my surgery on Sept 11, 2007.  I would do it again in an instant.  It is great to be healthy again.  I still have more things to improve on...but with me it is taking a little longer than others.  We are all different in how we adjust.  Wishing you all the best.
