reached MY goal
Hi everyone,
I haven't posted in a while--so happy and Healthy New Year to all my buddies!
I just wanted to say that you shouldn't be discouraged
ever! I thought that I had stopped losing in june of last year--I stayed between 148 and 150 for the longest time
.
Then, suddenly,
and for no apparent reason (I did increase my calcium intake--doctor's orders--osteoporosis) I started to lose weight and I went down to my personal goal of 141.Now I flucuate a littl but I am very happy at this weight. I continue to exercise and although the doctor had a goal of 135 for me --I am satisfied (no-I am overjoyed to weigh 141)
Thats a total loss of 101 pounds
! I am one happy camper--I love looking at myself and I feel Happy that I reached MY goal. I am healthy (except for the fall that I took --fractured ribs and I am laid up for about eight weeks--not good for my exercise regimen--but I will just be very careful of my food intake while I can't go to the pool) All in all, I am feeling okay with life --God is good! And we all have to have a little rain fall in our lives--that way we appreciate the good times more!
Be Blessed everyone --I hope and pray that you are all doing well!
Blessed Be!

Marian my dear! It was so lovely to see your glowing smile and wonderful post! Congratulations to you. I am sorry to hear of the fall and fractured ribs and glad to know you are on the mend. This path certainly isn't an easy one, and I know you've worked very hard at staying the course. I wish you continued success and mindfulness in this journey.
Big hugs to you!

Marian:
Congrats. Thanks for checking in! Be well, I know you will keep on top of your labs, and suppliments Metabolic bone disease is frightenign to me and the more I read w/ that post WLS the more it reinforces my need to be responsible/accountable with my daily suppliments, food choices, strentgh training (I don't want to lose wt due to losing bone mass or muscle mass!) exercise and routine labs and followup for life! You are a great reminder of that with this post thanks!
Have you had a dexascan to dx osteo (I know I am due this Spring for my 2 yr check up last one my density had increased 2% with all my suppliments and exercise! I take calcium citrate 500mg 4x day total 2,000mg)? how bad is the osteoporosis/penia did they say or only discovered after fall/fractures? Ugh rib fx have to be painful they say can only wait to heal them!? How much calcium citrate do they have you taking? How was your Vit D level ?(curious as I am currently D deficient and on RX strength vitamin D for 6 wk prior to lab recheck). How was blood calcium and PTH ratio?
Blessings to you! HUGS(not to hard though LOL)
