port Question??????

When I bend down for a min my stomach hurts where my port is and when I run and jump. Is this Normal??? Does this happen to anyone else??? Beth

Hi Beth, This has been an issue with me as well, at the drain hole site. My Dr. explained it like this...that it is basically a stab wound and they take a long time to heal because the tube went through all the muscle tissue, they may hurt, pull, and itch like crazy. He said it is nothing to worry about. But if it is hurting you a lot I would talk to your Dr. about it. Hope this helps, Shannon Arnold 257/192/130???

Thank you!! That does help. It doesn't hurt alot but when i do some things like bend over jump and run it does bother me. did you Doctor say how long till it is all healed???? Beth
