You are not alone. I have been told that most people get their taste back. I certainly hope that I do. Last night I got some hot broth from the Chinese restaurant. It was horrible. Everyone else ate the same broth in their won ton soup. It was me. My taste is off for so many things.

Wow, another one leaving the practice 
Dr. Sahdasivam left and went to Syracuse end of July or August. I had to see the PA for my 6 month follow up because he was sick. Wonder what's going on that they are all leaving. Saddening, truly saddening.

Topic: Taste Buds??
Does anyone recall if their taste changed after surgery? Certian things just don't taste the same. For example, I have loved Cottage Cheese all my life, tried to have some the other day and it was awful, I even checked the date to make sure it was fresh. BYW I had surgery 8days ago if that make a difference. Just wondering.

I posted this on the NJ State Board today, but thought I would repost here in case some of our New York friends wanted to join the car pool group:
Since the OH event in Houston is out of reach for most of us, Nikki (Cleopatra_Nik from the RNY board) and I decided to host a Pouch Party™ Holiday Preview Party on Saturday, November 13 from 2 to 4 pm in Baltimore. It'll be kinda like our own little Tri-State area OH party!
There are several NJ peeps attending, as well as friends from NY, PA, DE, and ME.
I am organizing a NY/NJ carpool so we can travel as a group. For those who'd like to make a weekend of it before the holiday madness starts, there are several nice and reasonably priced hotels in the area. (Not to mention the fabulous Arundel Mills Outlets to get in some early shopping!)
Here's the link for all the details on location, tickets, and what is included. If you want to join us for the car pool, email me with the subject line "NJ Group" and let me know how many people are travelling with you. Once I have the final head count and a central location for us to meet, I will email everyone and post it here also. I hope to see you there, it's been way too long since the NY OH Conference!
