OT Knee surgery after RNY

I have been given an appointment with an orthopeadic surgeon in Toronto for an assessment on May 2nd. Has anyone see Dr. Veronica Wadey? She works out of Sunnybrook.

Also has anyone else had a knee replacement surgery after WLS? I hope that once I go and see her I can placed on a waiting list. I am not a my goal weight but I believe I have lost enough weight to help with successful outcome with this surgery.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I had my wls Aug 2005. I never did reach my goal(another story LOL)
I lost 120 pounds and have kept that off.

I had my left total knee replacement Dec 7 2010.
The recovery was great. My knee is great.
I'm glad I had it done, I am able to get around more now without the pain of arthritis.
Well, mind you my right one is causing me much trouble this past week LOL. It needs to be done as well, but never really bothered me so they figured they would wait. I wish I had them both done together.
