cereal too heavy? or problem?
I'm 6 weeks post op and up til now have been feeling fine-no food intolerances, my body signals enough and I listen.
Yesterday I tried red river cereal and it was fine. Tried it today-not so fine...I think
It was kinda thick...I ate about 6 small bites and ouch...pain. Very heavy feeling and pressure just inside my rib cage in the middle.
I waited about an hour to see what would happen...nothing changed so I drank a couple of mouthfuls of water.
A few minutes later I threw up the water and a while after threw up again.
Could the cereal be too thick and stuck??
Any suggestions??

It may have been too thick, yes. Water it down next time with some milk. I had a bad experience at about a week out with some oatmeal too.

Absolutely it could have been too thick. I found oatmeal to be heavy and very filling even when I made i****ery, but I remember one time in particular very early out I had a bad experience with it and didn't touch it again for months after. So as Karen suggested maybe try making it thinner next time and enjoy :)
