Goal weight
They'll work it out with you at the clinic. It's based on your bones and muscles, etc.
I knew I'd never weigh 120 lbs but was surprised that the clinic view my goal weight at around a whopping 180-185 lbs. For some of my friends, that would put them in the extremely obese category.
That said, I hope to be an over achiever and have set my goal at 165. I suspect I may revise that at some point.

I didn't really get a goal weight (at least that I remember) so I determined mine by looking at the bmi scale. You can google a bunch and get different variations but here's one to get started:

I just figured from my height, where would middle ground of healthy BMI be.

The dietician spoke about a goal weight with me - I'm only 5' 2" so she said they would be happy with 140 - on the BMI scale that is still "overweight", but 135 is normal - so that's what I personally decided to go with. Some people are never 'given' a goal, but just set their own. For example, my FIRST goal is to get to ONEDERLAND!!! Only about 20 more lbs to go for that one... then I will likely set 'mini-goals' until I get to 135 - that way it doesn't seem like so much weight and so far to go.
Good luck! :)
Good luck! :)
i set my own goal weight by looking at what weight would put me at a normal BMI number, which was 145 lbs. but i made it past that :)

it's all good because I figured if I didn't lose the 20 additional lbs then I work work extra hard to make sur ethat I maintained my 114lb weight loss..and that I have done that for 19 months
