tinging hands

ever since surgery, I have been experiencing "pins and needs" in my left arm right down to the fingers and on my right hip.

it happens minutes after I snuggle into my bed - my left arm goes tingling and I have to roll over.  then my right hip starts to go numb, then I have to go on my back.

I mean it happened right after surgery, I had this feeling in the hospital.  Nurse said it was probably the way I was sleeping on my arm.

any one else experience this numb feeling.

haven't heard of it. if it persists, or gets worse, then go see your surgeon.

May be something non-serious, like the nurse said, but don't let that deter you from exploring it further with your doctor (and an MRI).

Two very close people in my life have MS and another has Fibromyalgia and they have all had similar symptoms.

Hijack - I just noticed that you have a gastroscopy scheduled after your surgeon's appointment.  Just a heads up that there is a chance that they will reschedule your surgeon's appointment until after your tests are done.  This happened to me.  You might want to consider checking the wait times at Kemptville and Winchester Hospitals as they usually have shorter wait times.  This way the results will get to the surgeon before they postpone your appointment.  I had to have a CT scan done, the Civic told me it would be two and a half to three months before it could be done.  I had my request changed to Winchester and had the scan done in a week.  Would hate to see you have to wait longer than necessary!

I've got the same feeling. Seeing the doctor in a couple of weeks regarding it. Could be something with diabetes or carpal tunnel. Hadn't considered it as potential effect of the surgery.

Before the surgery I kept putting things off. I was never good enough. One of the benefits of WLS is that you start to believe in yourself. Check out my blog:
