One week till OPTIFAST

Scared, apprehensive, worried, unsure -that pretty much sums it up. I've read lots about optifast so I'm kinda looking forward to starting it -it signifies the beginning for me.

PATTs next Wednesday, surgery on 13-JUL.

Lots going through my head, still feel like I need more information before I do this, yet I know that I'm doing the right thing!!

Would like to hear from anyone who has recently had the operation, and what your hospital experience was like.

Well, 3.5 more weeks and it's all over!

Hey!

I start Optifast next Wednesday too! I also have my surgery on July 13th. Where are you having yours? I will be at Humber. I'm more scared about three weeks of Optifast than the actual surgery!

Ya we're all scared poopless....What time is your surgery at? Mine is booked for 8am, thank god....anytime I have to fast from the night before my veins shrink right up like a cold guy on a skinny dipping adventure. On top of that I usually vomit because my stomach is empty...and it doesn't like being empty for long. Last time I had to fast and try to get blood taken, I passed out and vomited at the lab. Very sexy thing to do.

I go for my Pre op appointment at Humber on the 29th.

Good that yours is early with those conditions.

Well at least I'll "know" someone. Best of luck and success. Stay in touch as time draws near. Hopefully we can share OPTIFAST stories...

Mine's with Dr. Sohi too! I think I like that he's a very by the book kind of surgeon. No cutting corners and making sure you stick around town for a while after surgery. How long did he tell you to stick around Toronto? Or are you in Toronto already?
