New to site, wanted to introduce myself

Nice to have you here!  I don`t have any Optifast experience as I`m still waiting for my orientation but just wanted to wish you luck!

Welcome!  this is such a great site you are able to express how you feel without being judged.  Everyone here is kind and so helpful!!
Best of Luck on your upcoming surgery!!  Good luck with the Optifast I haven't had surgery yet I am currently waiting for a surgeon's appt. so can't give you advice there.

I put off joining this site for months. I felt that I had a lot of support from friends and family but no one had experience with the Optifast (I had 2 aunts do the surgery in Michigan but they don't need to do the liquid diet there) so I decided to come on here for support and it's been a fabulous experience so far :)

From the orientation everything else seemed to move pretty quickly! The waiting is the worst part of the experience I've had so far... I had a horrible experience trying to get approved for this surgery but I won't bore you with that right now!! Let me know when you get your orientation all done!

Welcome to OH!  The first few days of optifast is HELL - had moments where I was hungry and I was moody - but it does get easier.  I too was on 3 weeks of it and as other said before me - keep your eye on the prize!  If you haven't been told before... you might want to add some fibre (like benefibre) to your daily routine since optifast can constipate you .  Good luck on your surgery.

Hey Corina!

I am pretty moody... sorry to my little sixth graders!! Today I have been craving food like crazy, especially delicious (not so healthy for you) food. But I've perservered and just had my shakes and water. Haha, yeah... the surgeon's office told me to add benefibre but thanks again for the heads up. How are things going with your progress?

I haven't started my OptiFast yet (I start on Friday) but I noticed that we have the same doctor so I just thought I'd say hi and wish you luck. Hopefully the rest of your OptiFast will be smooth sailing.

Welcome Mel!!!!   Hang in it gets easier as you go. 

Optifast gets easier the longer you're on it - at least I found that. I loved the taste though. I had to endure a pot luck with all my fav foods though while on it - just days before surgery. That was tough lol. Once you get the surgery, your going to feel like you have reached the top of the hill on the roller coaster and you're now on your way down :-).
