wondering about protein shakes
Some of them made me feel ****ty too. I tried quite a few before I found one that I liked and didn't cause me to feel nauseous. Buy some samples, even from Walmart, and find one that works for you.
Also, you didn't let me know when you tracked on fitday the amount of protein you're getting in per day - how is it going?

I bought 3 from walmarts tried them, but didn't jive with me so i gave 1 away finished 1 and gonna give the other away as well i just bought banana berry from GNC on sale, just had 2 shakes so far the first 1 was ok last night but today not so gd tasted awesome but body no like .. i think ... could it be the whey in it ? as i can't stomach the milky products except for cheese which i find strange.
I was looking at the tracking sit i am reg but i got lost in the menu, I'm Gd on comp's but for some reason I'm finding this hard.. duh me lol
i also have a high tech scale that i bought from that Wharton clinic .. that fudged me up as well.. i was never gd at tracking but i am still gonna try

Hmm... I'm wondering too if it's the whey protien that's bugging you. Maybe try a soy protein? And no milk? Or maybe a clear protein? Just make sure you don't buy those "bullet" protein shots - wrong kind of protein for us to have.
If you're having trouble with fitday, just look up protein nutritional amounts online for whatever you eat. I do that often on Google when I don't feel like doing the fitday thing. lol

yes i asked for help yesterday at the GNC she was gd for that, i mixed with water no milk in my house any more, she mentioned about the soy but i had bought the soy milk and that went down the drain as well so i didn't want to do that fear of more wasted money, i think I'm gonna try more meat in soups as that seems to be working thus Far and crossing my fingers pouch don't want to get pickier ..lol
and i will try the google i use that alot as well maybe That will help me understand More for tracking the protein.. again thanks

Meat in soups is good - very moist and easy to digest. For a long while I cooked all meat in some sort of sauce or liquid. Chili was my mainstay for a looooong time. lol

yes that's what the nurse (noda ) told me to do eat more moist foods as i do believe that was what was causing that annoying tummy pain i was having so yes i have lots of meat in soups
tonight's dinner was breaded fish ( i know not gd ) but theirs only 2 ways for me to eat that breaded or tarter tons of that i really hate seafood,
and lol i did the long time eating of chili so yes i know how you feel about that ...
so tonight's dinner was the breaded fish veggies and brown rice .. i will be snaking tonight tho as i am going out dancing again lots of water .. yahooo

A year and half out i still have on a day. i find them handy and boring as hell.. but do them and i think for me they are a good thing. I normally mix mine in my morning coffee .. a easy breakfast on the run.
Only you know if you are getting your needs met. Not sure what you mean by feeling ****ty - other than suggesting you try them with lactose free milk .. assuming its a tummy issue.. .
Document your eating and count your protien.. if you don't need the shakes and don't like them then dont do them. Simple. If you aren't getting your protein then you have a decision to make...
My latest with the protein powder
1/4 cup plain greek yogurt
1/4 cup cooked strawberrries (used 2 quarts of berries and 1/2 cup slenda.. then measure out 1/4 and had to yogurt)
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder.
mix (leave a minute or two for the protein to dissolve). Awesome! Like pudding.
I make my own greek yogurt by draining the water from regular yogurt.. (use a coffee filter in the strainer and leave a couple hours in the fridge with a bowl under.
