if you are at patts you will most likely be looking at:
height
weight
BP
blood work
maybe meet the anesthesiologist they may take a look at your throat for the intubation tube
dont be alarmed if they swab your bum and your nose... they are checking for c-diff.. because it has been such an issue at other hospitals

LOL SOME hospitals are screening for C-difficile now because other hospitals are having a hard time fighting it right now. Guelph General is in the middle of an outbreak..
there are 2 or 3 other hospitals that are in outbreak status right now too...
when my mom went in to have a knee replacement last week they did a rectal and a nasal swab to screen for c-diff she was at scarbough general... and a friend of mine went to hamilton for surgery and they did the same to her...
but not every hospital has started doing the screening.. just dont be alarmed if they do..LOL

Hi,
Ok so you will have more blood work done, meet the Anathesiologist, maybe an EKG or anything else to make sure you are 100% ready for surgery, tests depend on your medical conditions, previous surgeries
I'm seeing Dr Starr tomorrow as well for my pre surgery Dr Meeting, I had my first surgeon meeting on the 27th of July, and unfortunatly will have to go back on Sept 1st for my Patts, so 3 trips to TO before my surgery.
Thanks Sue
