Hi, I'm so very sorry to hear your news. Earlier this year my son was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer and I'l never forget those feelings. I am very happy to say that my son is now cancer free, after chemo and surgeries. I was amazed at the level of care that is available and of course I did a lot of reading, only the positive stuff, and read about so many success stories. First thing though is for you to take care of yourself in order to be there for your mom. Don't slip into old bad habits, do as much as you can to be healthy to be there for her. I would even suggest seeing your family doctor and if you need a little something to help you sleep, do it.
I beleive this forum is help us get through life, since we can't avoid all of the other stuff when we have our weight to deal with.
Anytime you want to talk, I'm here. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers

Thanks Jackie. I am glad to hear your son is doing well.
I am pre-op now and very close to surgery so its hard thinking about what *I* need to do now. But I will do my best and thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

My most heartfelt prayers go to your Mom, you and your family.  Hold each other tight because you will gain strength that way.

Please know that you have support here, not just for weight loss but for the true life stuff as well.

Hugs

Sorry about mom's diagnosis but I think you posting here is the perfect place. We are here to support each other in all aspects of life and to help you stay on track! Hopefully this is just a bump in the road of life and your mom kicks the "C's" butt!!!
It just feels like it is everywhere but when it's meshed into your world it is shock! Stay strong as you already are!! Big hugs for you and mom!

Thanks. If there is any butt kicking to be done, my mother is certainly the one to do it.
