Could have been someone being nice and truth be told, a lot of people aren't aware that bagels are crappy food. Maybe they think they picked a good thing for you because they got themselves a donut or a whack of Timbits.

I would hope so, but everyone who would have possibly left it that works right in this same office has talked endlessly to me about what I can and can't eat - they're all interested, curious and very supportive.  Some days I think I spend more time talk to other staff about it than actually working lol.

My first thought was someone being nice....we are in a routine but people around us forget that, which is fine because its not their job to remember that you won't eat that....a few days ago, I was in the kitchen making supper and my DH asked me if I wanted chicken...and at the same time he said it he goes "oh my god, I'm so sorry, I don't even know why I asked"  so for them its not there fault for forgetting, its not their lifestyle....and to me, that's just normal!

you also have to keep in mind that people who have not had this type of surgery have NO CLUE on what we should or can eat..therefore someone may have just thought...

""hey it's new I'll pick one up for Sue also".

prior to surgery 323lbs....4 years post-op maintaining between 108- 114 lb loss.

life is AMAZING when you continue on the right path~!.  Use your surgeons gift to the fullest~!

Never take for malice that which can be explained by stupidity.

I'd vote on someone was not thinking or left theirs behind rather than anything more sinister.

I'd like to think of it as someone trying to be nice as well.  On WE know the rules of our surgery and for them to understand that this was not the best way to be kind might be a bit of a stretch.
