How far out were you?/Has anyone tried?

I've been craving popcorn recently and I've read some on the board who've had popcorn as a snack (probably those 100 cal bags but correct me if I'm wrong) and was wondering how far along you were when you tried it?

Also, corn. I've had corn a couple of times but in very small doses (meaning a couple of cups of mixed veggies - peas, carrots, corn - mixed into an entire shepherd's pie and then whatever tiny dose I would get of corn from my four ounce serving). I found a recipe for stir fry on Eggface's site that I love but have omitted the baby corn while making it because I was unsure when/if I could have it. Any insights?

As well, I've been reading some recipes on cloud bread. Has anyone tried this before?

Thanks!

can't remember exactly, but around 4-5 months out I started wtih a small portion of popcorn - some cannot tolerate it all - some eat around the hard centre - some like me, just eat it !!!

it is one of my staple snacks and approved by my nutritionist for me.

100 calorie packs is great and sometimes not enough !!!

I love popcorn and I think I was about 4 months out when I tried, but I bit off the kernels for the first couple of weeks, I was afraid of them.  And yes I buy the 100 cal bags.

Wow! Thanks for the super fast responses! Good to know I'll only have to wait a couple more months!

i waited an entire year before i ate popcorn, any sorta trigger snack food, and alcohol

it is more about food habits than tolerating it..

I tried popcorn after I hit goal (10 months).  Honestly, I wish I hadn't   My cravings were not too intense at this point, but they are more intense and frequent, now.  The longer you can stay away from sliders like popcorn, chips etc., (triggers for me anyway) the better as far as I'm concerned.  Oh and a 100 cal snack bag wouldn't be enough for me to be satisfied, but I am two years out.

popcorn is a huge trigger for me, when I make it I can easily eat 8 or 10 cups. I'll make it air popped with maybe 1 T of melted butter and salt so really not all that fattening but eating 8 or 10 cups of anything is something I need to avoid now and certainly post-op! I don't think I will even try it for at least a year, maybe 2.

I did popcorn successfully at about 2 months out, but at about 3 months out, I had two very bad experiences with it... it takes a LONG time to drain from the pouch (for me) and even though I waited more than a half an hour to drink afterwards, I felt like the popcorn was super aborbant. It made me vomit, but not vomit clean... belchy, overfilled wet vomit, if that makes any sense. I've avoided it since.

I've had corn on the cob three times. Two were bought at the farmer's market, young sweet fresh yellow corn and were delicious. I had half a cob as a treat, boiled, and I had no problems. The third time was just a week or so ago I had a couple of bites of roasted corn after the Terry Fox run. I don't know if it was because it was older (tougher) or because it was roasted vs boiled, but it didn't sit right, so I backed off.

I am almost 2 years out, I don't really eat popcorn much, maybe every 6 months or so I will have some, however I love corn. I have only eaten it maybe a dozen times, and not much of it when I do.  I found out the hard way that it seems to ball up and cause me alot of pain.  My first time trying it, I was at a chinese buffet.  I ended up in the bathroom making myself sick, and each time I have eaten it, until the past couple months, I have had to do the same.  For some reason it hasn't really affected me  recently.
