2 year surgiversary-OCT. 14, 2009
Hi Everyone
I haven't been on for a long long time, but I thought that I would say hi and let everyone know how I was doing...Well things are well. Doing great and I must say that this was the best thing that I could have done for myself!! To date, I am down 80lbs and I can officially say that I am a marathon runner!!! I have completed 5, 5k marathons-doing the SCOTIABANK TORONTO WATERFRONT MARATHON tomorrow morning, so it will be 6 that I will have completed, I am training for a 10km marathon in NOVEMBER. I can say now that I am ready for that run. At the end of January, I am participating in a HALF-MARATHON (22KM) in Miami Florida for a cause that is very dear to my heart. They say that sometimes there is a transfer addiction with this surgery, and I think that I have found mine. I love it and am happy to finally be able to do something that makes me proud and above all, healthy and fit. To all those who are contimplating this surgery or about to have it, you will not regret it if you follow all the rules that come with it. For me, it was worth it all. Sorry that I haven't been on this forum a lot, but I do pop in once in a while to see how everyone is. Keep in touch, Dina
