Congrats on 2 years and your thoughts. I see a lot of me in what you say ann although I don't have ADHD having diabetes hasn't been the stick I hoped it would be. I never thought of wrong choiced as being a "childish thing" but there might be something to that.  I will give it some thought.

Thanks Paula. I know for me, using the word childish took a while to get my head around and I can understand people not being comfortable with it. I'm still working on it.

I forgot to say I am finally having VSG on November 23 in Hamilton. I did have to have valid  medical reasons but the fight was not as I expected.  IMHO Hamiton or Guelph seem to offer the most VSGs now.  Hamilton has as least two very pro VSG doctors and Guelph one.  I am seeing approvals for VSG quite frequently now. Humber is very tight with VSGs and I can't remember the last person there to get one.  Toronto Western seems to have a few but not in the numbers you would suspect versus Hamilton or Guelph.  Ottawa seems as tight as ever.

I am excited.  I was willing to self pay with Dr. Gagner if Hamilton said no and it was during a conversation with him that he told me he wouldn't do anything but a VSG on me because of my hyperthyroidism which causes my body to excrete calcium. When I mentioned Dr. Gagner's position to Dr. Hong he was in agreement and so I'm getting an OHIP VSG. It has been 14 months since my referral.
