Then IMO you should be fine.  I'm not an RNY chick but I see many post they eat the plain greek yogurt without issue so you should be fine.  I'd stay away from the flavoured ones as they have added sugar.  It's easy to doctor it up at home with NSA jam or a bit of splenda/truvia/syrup or with some fresh fruit.

Okay I don't live with an RNY so I have no fear of dumping.  Are you cautious because of the sugar or more because of the texture?  I always picked low GI fruits while losing so things like apples, oranges, berries.

Called in sick to work today, dont tell! Went for a run this morning. I've been so incredibly lazy lately, its so difficult to get moving. I'm not sure if my depression is inching its way back, or maybe low iron or something. I've got a drs appt this afternoon, so i'll ask her those questions.

B - egg, 4 prunes
S - metamucil apple crisp wafer, coffee with milk
L - leftover PC Savoury bannock-topped pie  piece of cheese (low fat cheddar)
S - pear, cheese (low fat cheddar)
D - chicken, veggies
S - apple or pear

someone asked me about that PC pot pie the other day. It's very yummy. Probably too high in carbs, but quite tasty. It's part of their "Recipe to Riches" line, which, i think, is a contest that people have won and get to have their recipes made and sold by PC. cool.

Hey Ann - I worry about you with that pneumonia (and MarnyB as well).
I see all the time how very serious it can get, especially when it doesn't respond well to antibiotics.
Take good care of yourself, huh?

Had a very bad night.
DUMPED on CAESAR SALAD, for crying out loud!
It was the reduced calorie dressing, too.
On the bright side, I did lose 2 pounds overnight ...
Needless to say, I'm a little woozy and weak this morning - called in sick.

B - clear tea, crackers
s - 1% cottage cheese
L - Garden ****tail, cheese, crackers
S - protein bar, milk
D - stewed goat w sweet potato

Doubling up on vitmains today - feel very depleted this morning.

Poor you! Pneumonia is really hard to get rid of. Mine has just cleared up and this was the first weekend I started to feel better. Took almost 4 weeks to completely get over this thing, and I had to do 2 rounds of antibiotic (don't know if that is because of a stubborn infection or because of malabsorption of the antibiotics). Hope you feel better soon, Ann.

Totally over-slept this morning and missed my morning staff meeting.  Ugh.  What a way to start the week.  On the bright side, I finished almost all of my Christmas shopping this weekend.  Yay!

I've been captivated by the carb monster as of late, so I'm going to try to stick to high protein today.

B- P28 bread with a bit of PB

S- Cheese and genoa salami

L- Salisburry steak

S- greek yogurt

D- Veggie soup (beans for protein), with very little of the broth

S- fruit of some sort

Have a great day all!

Good morning everyone.

This is my first full day feeding myself;

B- 1/2 c cherry jello, 1 c raspberry tea with splenda (spent 2 hours eating this)
S - 1/2 c chicken broth (still working on it after 40 mins)
L -  1/2 Lipton chicken noodle soup without the noodles, 1/2 c rasp jello
S - maybe more soup
D - 1/2 c beef broth (yes, let's mix it up a bit!), and 1/2 c lime jello
S - raspberry tea with splenda, and maybe some more jello

I'm bored just writing this meal plan...

Why does Guelph make us have 2 full weeks of clear fluids?  By my calculation, even if I am able to finish everything as planned, (which would be the first time), I'll still only be getting at most, 10 gm protein each day.  How can that small amount help me heal?  I could see the first few days, maybe even a full week just to be careful, but 2 weeks is going to be really, let's say, 'character building'...

It's ok, I'm not cheating, and I'm even writing down everything I'm eating to show the dietician next month, but I don't have to be overjoyed about it, right?

Well, that's enought whining from me.

My big plan for excitement this week is to make some crockpot broth from scratch, either from turkey or chicken along with carrots, onion, celery, sweet potato and garlic.  I'll strain out some of the clear broth for this stage, and puree some of the rest and freeze it for the next stage.

Looking forward to 3.5 weeks from now so I can try some of the delicious things you guys are talking about (stuffed mushrooms!!!).

Sharon
