This is fun!!

What is your favourite Christmas song? I'll be home for Christmas
What is your favourite Christmas movie? National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (I watch it every year)

How is your shopping coming along? 1 more thing to buy and everything is wrapped (I go back to work on the twelve so I wanted everything done before that)

Will you be spending more or less this year? Same (always too much)

What will you do to replace any special seasonal treats with? I'm really worried about this because I love sweets.  I'm going to struggle I think.  If anyone has any ideas pass them along please.
Merry Christmas everybody!! We can do this!!!!

What is your favourite Christmas song?

Currently I am LOVING "If Santa Don't Bring You No Funk" by Big Sugar and Wide Mouth Mason!  But one of my yearly favourites is Silent Night by Stevie Nicks

What is your favourite Christmas movie?

Don't have a favourite.  I generally watch whatever is newest on DVD at xmas time.  This year I will probably take my son to see Arthur Christmas....looks cute.

How is your shopping coming along?

Did Black Friday shopping a couple of weeks ago in the States and got some done.  Ordering some stuff online - some of which is ordered and some is not so I gotta get that done.  Probably will be going to the mall this weekend to do some and some gifts I haven't even thought of yet.  I'm probably 1/2 done.

Will you be spending more or less this year?

Well, less because last year we took everyone (all 6 kids) to Disney World in Florida as their "big" xmas gift.  But I think I am spending a bit more this year than I usually do...but won't know for sure until it's all done I guess.

What will you do to replace any special seasonal treats with?

I don't have any really special seasonal treats.  My baking is generally quite minimal and I won't substitute...just won't eat it or will only have tiny taste treats on occasion - hopefully I can remain strong with that.  Other "treats" aren't really treats, but things we stock the house with for company....cheese, crackers, cold cuts, frozen hors d'eurves, etc.  And all of those things are okay to eat in moderation, so I will.  My downfall will be chocolates, which I don't buy but sometimes arrive in my house as gifts or because of the kids.

Fav. song - anything I put on when decorating and on Christmas Eve and day. (Can't do the Hallowe'en is over on to Christmas tradition).

Fav. movie - The Family Stone (Diane Keaton is such a fashion icon to me).

Shopping done - Almost....onto wrapping...aaarrghh!

Amount spending - a bit less.  My kids are mostly growed up so I don't feel the need/desire to try to elicit the "OMG I can't believe I got that" response anymore.

Treats to indulge - definitely SF cheesecake.  I plan to make mini cheese cakes with a SF oatmeal cookie at the bottom of a muffin tin lined with pretty Xmas papers then fill with batter and top with grated chocolate.  Portion controlled and guilt free!

Karen, I posted a SF individual cheesecake recipe on the other forum.  They were really good and love the idea of putting a SF cookie at the bottom.  The next time I make them I plan on putting in some PB 2 and making them peanut butter cheesecake and will crumble a SF peanut butter cookie on top.
