Emotional vs Logical thinking
Hi Jennifer.
It was around 6 months out that I had some major stalls. No weight loss for 3 weeks, then lost a lb, then up a lb, then three more weeks, lost a lb, up a lb, then 3 more weeks. But I lost a size during that period. Thank God I was measuring and paying attention to how my clothes fit!
I, too, am familiar with the "insanity is repeating the same mistakes and expecting different results" saying. The key word in this situation is "mistakes". You are not making any mistakes or doing anything wrong. You are following the plan. I think you might want to question the application of this saying to your current situation. It would definitely apply if you were "cheating" on your food plan, but I don't think it applies here.
Hang in there! We're all with you.

I only weigh myself once a week, so I hardly notice the stalls at all. Look back at how much weight you have lost.
You've invested yourself into this, fully. I mean, it's crazy to think that we risked mortality for this, to give us a second chance at a better life. We have taken steps to surround ourselves with people who are also trying to make it succeed.
I have rough days too, the doubts. I think "What have I done to myself?" "What happens when it stops working?" "Why haven't I lost x amount of weight when I lost so many pounds the week before?!?!" But you know what, we have 4 decades vs 3 months of reassurance. Our heads are the main culprits, our worse enemy - that's how we got here.
You'll do well. :) Have faith in yourself and keep up the good fight!
I have no words of wisdom here other than to reiterate what many others have told you. We all have/had stalls and we all got very frustrated with them but the scale did move again and even when it didn't, the inches did.
You are doing amazingly well and even though the scale is not telling you at the moment, it is still happening. I think your head is smarter than your heart and it needs to record a new soundtrack for your head to hear. Re-recording the soundtrack is also part of our journey so perhaps now is a time to focus on that part of it right now and the rest will fall into place.
