You're doing great Darren!  Four days down.. woohoo!  Your getting there!  I couldn't stomach the stuff at first, but then found if you mix a large (well I guess now it's a medium!) decaff Timmies that had sat in the fridge for a few hours, with a package of chocolate optifast and about 6 or 7 ice cubes in the Ninja, it made a giant iced capp.. Believe it or not I actually really miss them and wish I could have them again!!!

You can do this!

All the best.

Love the new picture.  I didn't even realize it was you and had to do a double take.

As hard as that 4th shake can be, remember that you still need the nutrition it provides, so if you were told 4, you really need to aim to get it in (but I do know how hard that can be some days!)  Have you tried just mixing the choc & vanilla together?  I really didn't mind the opti - I found it easy and filling (after the first 4-5 days).  And for broth, have you tried the Knorr gels?  I think it's called homestyle.  For me it had the best flavour and actually tasted like food.

Overall, it sounds like you're doing very well, and you seem to have a great attitude toward this last step.  It's almost time, and you can do it!!  Good luck, and keep checking in.

Had RNY surgery July 22/11, St. Joe's Hamilton, with the awesome Dr. Scott Gmora.  Had abdominoplasty August 2/13, Scarborough, with equally awesome Dr. Michael Kreidstein.

Knorr gels are very delish! I use them all the time when cooking and you are right the taste is much more flavorful then the powder cubes.

I have not tried the knorr jells. Are they just a small jelly bullion cube that you would eat as is? And who sells them in thunder bay.

One trick I tried was instead of adding ice cubes to my vanilla I put in 2 single del monte sf Orange Popsicles. This makes a kind of a cream sickle. Going to try the choco with it as well.

Has anyone had onion soup with the onions strained out for a once and a while change? I did on day 2 it was very nice, but I think I'll try it only once more because I'm really watching my salt intake and usually have only the low sodium broth.

BTW I have lost almost 8 lbs in the 4 days!

the Knorr Gells are available at most major grocery stores... discount chain stores dont carry them.
Walmart has them and Metro (A&P, Dominion) Zehrs (PC stores)

you mix it with 2 cups of boiling water I dont know the sodium count in them..

heres the link for the chicken... its available in beef too
