embarrassing question to ask

Since I have switched to regular multivitamins and have started supplementing with Profferin (iron), my stool has changed to being almost black.....so yes things will change.  I had very light coloured stool post-surgery as well until I made the change in vitamins.

Thank you all so very much, you have no idea how relieved i am reading all those post, i will still mention it to my doctor tomorrow because of family history but its such a relief to read what you'll have posted, again thanks!!!

Not a personal question at all for this site! it is something we have all wondered about. I had some surgical complications and had to stay in the hospital for 8 days. What was good about that was the surgeon saw me every one of those days and I got to ask him a lot of questions. He gave me a full "run" down on what to expect in BM's, and the creamy colour was one of them and yes I did get that.
