They are very helpful and supportive BUT, I have found, with everyone's differing schedules for surgery it's easy (at least for me) to get overwhelmed while waiting and obsessed with this person had this done on that date and it only took them this long to have that done but I'm taking THIS long... etc etc. Just keep in mind that every single patient has a different path to surgery and will have a slightly different timeline.
With that said, I had my orientation session on March 18/11 and waited 7 months to be called and another half month to see the RN (end Oct/11) at the Civic when they told me it would take 3 months to be seen. THAT made me crazy. Hopefully you are more patient than me!! And hopefully they are faster than they predict!!
Either way, it WILL all happen eventually!! Every step is exciting!!! And we are very happy to have you join us! (I'm fairly new too!)
