More whine please.

Hi folks.  This is an update.

I finished my appointments except my surgeon's appointments in early April.  My wife had her surgery in March.  So I figured that in May I would have my surgeon's appointment and be able to plan for my life around my surgery date fairly soon.  Not that my surgery would be soon but that I would have the date soon.

I still have not had the surgeon's appointment.  I was asked to supply two references.  One of which failed to respond to the request for information.   Jerk.  That has been rectified now.  And on Monday, I will be calling the surgeon's office because it has been two weeks since that letter has been faxed in.

However, without that date in hand, I have had to make vacation plans with my family for the next several months and plan an unplanned move which involved a unexpected and rushed house purchase.   

I am stressed about all of these things I cannot control.  So daily I say the serenity prayer.

I have made a zillion changes in my diet and lost 30 pounds since March.   I used to wear a 50" waist in my shorts and I now wear a 2XL pant and an XL shorts.  I was a 5XL tee shirt and now I wear a 4XL t shirt comfortably and a 3XL tank top in the fenced in backyard :)

I have cut out sugar and fat, limited caffeine, eliminated tobacco and alcohol, processed grains, breads and pasta.

I FEEL SO FREAKIN' READY FOR THIS SURGERY.

My wife tells me that nothing can prepare for the head games.  So I believe that.  My wife has done really well and I am so proud of her and inspired by her.

Sigh.  Guess I will find out soon.   I hope my surgery doesn't fall on the same long weekend that I am moving to a new house and vacationing in Quebec.

 Sorry to hear your news!  Which centre are you goin through 

Humber.  Who have been great.  But very different from Toronto Western who handled my wife's surgery.

 I'm goin through Humber as well. Have all my appt like sw rn dt on July 17. They told me I would likely have my surgery mid to late aug. the wait is killing me. What sort of references did u need. They haven't mentioned anything like that to me. 

Please don't worry about the "references".  I am have some very specific health issues and they just needed my specialists to confirm that the procedure would be safe for me.

Good luck in your weighting...er waiting...lol

 Ooh ok. Well I hope you get good news Monday :)

 Hold your head up, think how well you have been doing. It sucks that your reference was a jerkpants.
Soon this will come to end and you will be even healthier.

It will all come together. Sounds like you are almost there. The closer we get the harder it is to be patient:)  Hang in there!

hang in there :)   I am also doing the waiting game ... all my appointment are finished and I'm just waiting for the phone to ring.  Got in crap for calling them the other day to inquire.  'THEY' will call me.
