CRAZY Trans-Canada Challenge: Results Week 4 (Oct. 29-Nov 4)
I was not allowed to do to much due to the fact I was doing my marathon. I did a total of 55k of running which 42 of it was done on sunday and than I did 10k of walking which is only because of my job that i do and I don't drive so my total was 65 for the A team. Now I am in recovery so this following week will be low. It will be awhile before I am allowed to run again.
Still in awe. What do they recommend you do to come down from a marathon? I'll bet your thighs are screaming today.
Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!
It is not just my thighs that are screaming my whole body but mostly the legs. They are not my friend today. The best thing is after a marathon is lots of rest and no running for awhile. Need to give body time to heal. This means that my distance will me down for awhile but i will try to get some distance in to help my team.
We're down a couple of people at work so I find it hard to get out after 12 hours on my feet at work. we all had to pick up extra shifts to cover the women who are off. I pulled off a respectable (for me)
Running 10.12km
Walking 2.23km
Rollerblading 5.58km
Total all sports= 18km
OMG Rollerblading!! I haven't tried that in FOREVER! And I have good blades too. They used to hurt my legs, but i'm wondering if that's because i was overweight. Going to try that this week!!

My mileage this week was 54.2 kms. I was on my way to a bigger week but had to spend Saturday while an electrician wired my cabin, so I couldn't go far. He needed tons of questions answered. As he completed each task a new round of questions cropped up.
I will try harder this week, want to break the 60 km!
