Hi homegrl21,

Welcome to the forum and I'm glad that you decided to post.  You've already observed I'm sure,  that there is a lot of great information available on here.  Allthe best to you on your upcoming surgery - what a fabulous Christmas gift to yourself - sure beats a new pair of slippers, huh?  Try not to get too stressed about starting Opti - there are some folks (like me) *****ally liked the taste of it, especially the chocolate. If you're not crazy about it, try adding some of the many SF flavourings available to jazz it up a bit.

Welcome aboard! I have only been writing myself since October. I found OPTI very difficult in the beginning but if you stay on course the feeling leaves in about 4 days. If you slip - it puts you right back to the crazies again! Hang in there it gets easier and gets better.

Best wishes on the 10th- it will be here before you know it.

Welcome to the forum and good luck with your upcoming surgery! I had Dr. Starr as well and he did an excellent job, so you're in good hands!

P.S. Optifast isn't too bad... I actually enjoyed the chocolate! LOL

Best of luck homegrl21!  The Opti daze are a starting point and there are lots of tips here too.  I quite liked the shakes, although some did not.  Try to think positive  - a means to an end.  Best wishes to youangry

Hi and Welcome:

I also had Dr. Starr and I liked chocolate Optifast.  I haven't had any big problems and I'm down 64 pounds since my surgery.  It's a great choice you're making.

Enjoy the ride

Laurie
