I am two months out and have been eating oatmeal almost every morning since surgery. I am looking for options and variety.

My favourite right now is 3 tbsp of unsweetened applesauce and 1/4 cup of Shreddies.  Funny thing is, I hated applesauce before surgery.

If it's a work day and I'm on the run I usually just have a protein shake. During weight loss I had a scoop and a half of Whey Gourmet made with water, and now that I'm at goal I add a banana to it and blend it up with a bit of ice. When I have a chance to sit for breakfast, I love eggs done almost anyway; soft boiled, poached, scrambled with cheese, or fried in olive oil. I also love breakfast meat, especially turkey sausage, turkey bacon and thick sliced fried bologna, but I've been known to eat regular bacon and pork sausages as well.

I had OHIP approved Duodenal Switch surgery with Dr. Dennis Hong at St. Joseph's Hamilton on March 7th, 2012. Want more information on the DS in Ontario? Send me a private message!

one of my favorites is Kashi Go Lean cereal with skim milk.  It really packs a protein punch, and it very yummy.  I also do the greek yogurt, right now my fav. is Key Lime, or a poached egg, or egg creations, with a laughing cow wedge melted in it

I love my protein shakes. I don't do ready to drink ones, but make my own depending on what I'm craving (fruity or chocolate). I recently found a post on pinterest to make protein frosty (which surprisingly taste just like how I remember Wendy's frostys... although my memory of a Frosty is based on having my last real frosty about 1 1/2 years ago so YMMV) so I've been having that.

If I have time, usually on weekends, I make Eggface's Ricotta Pancakes. They are super easy and delicious (I like just vanilla pudding mix in mine and then use sugar free pancake syrup).

If you like oatmeal, have you tried overnight oats? If I have time the night before and remember, I usually make up an overnight protein oatmeal and it's a nice change for breakfast in the morning?

I hope these ideas help!

Thanks for including that link for overnight oats! I'm definitely going to give that one a try. :)
