I mentioned on here a few weeks ago I am going on a cruise in 4 weeks and I still need to find a bathing suit. I have tried on a few, but it's so depressing.

So what kind of bathing suit do you have? I am thinking of going with a tankini, but not sure yet.

I am hoping after this whole process, and after the surgery and I start losing weight, I will like shopping, especially for a bathing suit !

Hi Jen,

I find takinis are great. Have you tried Bikini Bay? I've always had great luck there and they have a nice selection of mix and match items in a variety of sizes.

Have fun on your cruise!

I am pre surgery and I have had a tankini for years.  The top is like a tank and the bottom is a skirt type.  Much easier to get on and off and to use the w/r

I like the skirt because I felt it hid my bum better.

Good luck and enjoy your cruise...

Thanks, no I have never thought of going into a "Normal" store. I certainly will though!

Tankini's I got at Walmart up to a 3x. And 1 piece Penningtons 14+ size wise...

Honestly... since it is short term I wouldn't spend a bunch on it but usually they are on sale at penningtons at this time of year. ;-)

That reminds me, I have two coupons to use at Penngitons in February!! Thanks for mentioning that store. I was at Walmart earlier today, and noticed they have some summer stuff out too.

Honestly I don't have one yet...been thinking of buying board shorts....cause my upper legs are so wrinkly, and elephant like...and then a top....but I can't cover my bat wings....so we "all" have problems...good luck....Patti K.

My daughter has been buying a boxer type bottom and adding a rash guard (for windsurfing, long sleeves protect them from the abrasiveness of the boards)  top.  It covers like a long sleeve t shirt but it doesn't absorb water when she goes swimming.  Not that this applies but I have bought a rash guard shirt to wear to the pool, as I didn't think most folks would appreciate my wrinkly flabby tummy with three sets of surgery wounds on it!

I'm also a big fan for the board short  and you can get them in different lenghts.  I haven't had much

luck with the tops (don't like the fit).

Here r a couple of sites

Good luck!
