Someone didn't recognize me today!
That was pretty cool. A woman that my husband works with saw me this evening when I dropped by his office, and she walked right past me after looking right at me and saying something polite. I didn't think anything of it - I figured she was just distracted so didn't say much. Then, about 10 minutes later, she comes back into the room and says, "Oh my god. I had no idea it was you! I thought you were a client! I'm so sorry. I just went into the back and asked so-and-so if that was you, and he said it was! I didn't even recognize you!"
So funny. :) They all know I've had surgery because I was fine with my husband telling the folks at his work - it's a small office and they're pretty close-knit and I like them all.

Cool! What great fun it is to see their faces as they rack their brains trying to figure out why you look familiar but again they just can't put their finger on who you are. I love that moment of realization when they find out how much you have changed. A golden moment for sure! Well done and congratz on a really fantastic nsv.

Lost 100 lbs in a year post op with a VSG. 
Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!
I didn't think it would happen to me, because I don't feel like I look THAT different. I mean, I see the difference in weight, but I didn't think that it had really changed my looks that much. :) I figured that might happen maybe if I got into Onederland, but not so soon!

You might need to take some after pics to see. I am finally seeing the difference, as promised by so many vets.
