I have been working from home a bit this week. And just 1/2 day at work. Desk job, so nothing taxing. Doctor did suggest I drive though. Don't want to be jostled around too much by commuters :-) And it's our staff Christmas lunch....can't miss that!!! LOL So, i'm leaving with plenty of time, for slow driving, and only slightly slower walking.

Wow, that's a quick recovery, Kelly! Good for you. Don't pu**** too hard tomorrow!
Today, I'll remember my protein shake on the way to work today! Although it was interesting, getting my protein from food yesterday. Worked out pretty well, so it's good to know that I can do it relatively easily even without protein supplements. Since I don't LOVE the shakes or anything, that's good to know. But they're convenient, so I'll drink them until they're gone. I also found a nice protein bar at Shoppers Drug Mart - ProtiLife. The peanut butter ones are really delicious - had my first one last night. Very satisfying, 16g of protein per bar (160 calories), and it doesn't sit heavy in my stomach like the Pure Protein bars do. But they're expensive. I got them on sale for $9 per box of 5. Normally they're $11 or $12, can't remember which. Ouch.
What am I doing? Just going to work, nothing exciting. I have a meeting after work as well, so I'll pack some supper too. I have a ton of leftover white chicken breast meat from those supermarket chickens I've been relying on, so I'll probably just bring all of it to work today and pick at it.
3 MONTHS POST-RNY
B - 1 protilife bar on the way to work, then a glass of milk when I get there
S - 2 tbsps dried soy nuts, 2 tbsps almonds (mixed together)
L - half of a quarter chicken, white meat
S - 1/2 cup of grapes, 1 oz Beemster 2% cheese (darn that stuff is delicious, doesn't taste like low fat cheese at all!), 2 melba toasts
D - half of a quarter chicken, white meat
S - probably nothing - I'll be full from supper during the meeting.
DAILY TOTALS: 92g protein, 34g fat, 58 carbs (46 net carbs), 848 calories
(I might add something low in fat with some carbs to balance things out a bit and add a few calories to my day, since I'm already well over my fat and protein goals for the day.)
Have a great day everyone!

LOL Barb. yes, that's what they say!! I haven't done it yet. I love that you added "over 10,000 steps today". I've been at 9k at 8 p.m. and normally I would just be done for the day, but then the little reminder comes to my phone telling me i'm almost there, and I get up and finish up.
I almost did 4k yesterday. Very mobile now :-)
