What are you eating/doing this morning (Thursday)
Morning Pat! Hope your doctor's appointment goes well.
I walked a lot yesterday - over 12,000 steps. Which will make up for today, because I probably won't have a chance to walk much at all. I have a very busy day, but because I have booked an Autoshare car, there won't be a lot of walking involved in getting to and from everything. Unfortunate. I have a meeting in Mississauga during the day today. Then because I have the car, I'm going to take advantage of it and drop in on that Nygard sale you told us about in Vaughan on my way back. (Well, sort of on the way!) Then I'm going to an evening meeting in East Toronto from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Taking the TTC gives me a chance to walk a lot, but driving, not so much.
I did, however, pack my lunch AND supper for today last night. I even cooked roasted veggies last night after the TWH meeting to bring along today for supper this evening - all I have to add is a supermarket rotisserie chicken. Since my husband and I are going to the same meeting tonight (in the same building as where he works - and he works late tonight), he and I can share the chicken and veggies.
Also: today is my 4 month surgiversary! I've lost 84 lbs in the past 4 months (plus three weeks of Optifast). Still blows me away, how my life has changed in such a short period of time. I could barely walk a block before, now I can walk long distances, uphill no problem, and not even break a sweat. It's so great! My main reason for doing this surgery was increased mobility and fitting into places (like seats, etc.). Now I feel completely comfortable on the TTC (even if I have to stand), I fit into most seats, and I can just do so much more. All in four months. Incredible. I have quite a ways to go - I would like to get under 200 at least, and a healthy BMI would be lovely, but I don't have a set goal yet. I'm at 252 right now.
Anyhow, here's my food for today:

S - 1/2 ounce of blue cheese, 1/2 ounce of French truffled brie, 1/2 cup of grapes

Congrats on your 4 mth surgerversary!. You have done amazing. I missed you last night. You must have come in after we split up. I was really over tired and knew my husband would be waiting so I never went back to the big group. I will probably see you next week at the East End Coffee. Have fun at the Nygard sale
Thanks Pat! I was wondering whether you were there. Well, as you say, I guess we'll see you on Tuesday. Are you planning to get out to the Nygard sale at all?
By the way - the TWH group starts at 7:30, right? I was surprised - I got there slightly before 7:40 and everyone was already in different rooms and deep into discussion when I arrived! I guess they mean it when they say don't be late. ;) I had to work a bit late, and then I had a quick errand to run before the session.

Happy Surgiversary to you! You are doing a great job. 12,000 steps is awesome in one day! I'm running and still don't usually get that many steps in on the weekdays (drive to work and sit on my behind all day at a desk). It's great that you can incorporate activity into your everyday lifestyle like that!
