That sounds familiar but I am not sure. He has a port wine stain (currently being lasered off ), glaucoma with almost complete loss of sight and I believe some learning issues. She is an occupational therapist so knew to get him on all the wait lists. On the plus side he is adorable happy guy. I know she said it is not a well know syndrome

that's the same thing my daughter has. The most serious of this syndrome has a port wine stain and glaucoma, and intractable seizures. My daughter is "lucky" in that she has no port wine stain, and was not diagnosed until her first seizure at age 19, and has no cognitive impairment.

It is a relatively rare syndrome, for sure.

THanks for posting this! i had it on my facebook.

Thanks so much for posting this. My niece died of a seizure from an undiagnosed disorder almost 4 years ago. I didn't realize that today was wear purple day, but I happened to put on a purple t-shirt this morning anyway... now I know why :)

I had OHIP approved Duodenal Switch surgery with Dr. Dennis Hong at St. Joseph's Hamilton on March 7th, 2012. Want more information on the DS in Ontario? Send me a private message!

It has made me realise how little I really know. There was a child in my class in grade school. We were told what to do if he had a seizure. That info is so out of date. It was time for me to get better education
