I'm going through Guelph and wonder what comes next

I have had my first dietitian, social worker & nurse appointments and they all said I should go through the system quickly.  I have been to the group nutrition class & have seen the internist.  He said that he hadn't any concerns about me having surgery.  I've had all of the tests and my second dietitian, nurse, & social worker appointments are in June.  What comes next?   I have not had an endoscopy is it the surgeon who orders this procedure done?  I am going through Guelph. 

I was through Guelph and did not have an endoscopy either... It is suggested when they are concerned.  I did however have an abdominal x-ray and a upper GI.

Any further movement through the clinic won't happen until you are cleared by the RN, RD and the SW.... then you move in to the post op nut class and the surgeon.  Hope that helps!!

Thanks Nicole that is what I wanted to know.  I have had the abdominal ex- ray, upper G. I. and blood tests before I went for oreontation.  The internist didn't order anymore tests he said I was in good shape for surgery.  I had a sleep test done to make sure my c-pap machine was at the right pressure and had documentation to prove it.  I also asked my Dr. for  photo copies of all of my test results  because I have heard that sometimes the bariatric centers have lost or misplacalled people's test results.  I am trying to be one step so I can make this as speedy a process as I can.  I have been seeing a therapist to help me deal with stress which sometimes causes me to eat when I am not hungry.  I want the surgery to work for me and I know I have to change my thinking and actions so I can be sucessful.  Thanks again.

I am waiting to hear about the surgeon appointment and just got my internist appointment today for May 7th.  I have had my second and final appointments with the RN, SW, and Nutritionist.  Now I just wait.  They told me that my surgery may not be until late August or the beginning of Sept. They have a lot of people ready for the surgery right now so that is why they said there was a wait.

Thanks for the info your just a bit ahead of me.  My next set of appts. with nurse, s.w. & dietitian are the first week of June.  I was guessing that I would hopefully have surgery In Oct. or possibly by Dec. at the latest.  I am in Stratford so I am concerned about having a surgery date later than Dec. because of bad winter weather rearing its ugly head.

Zillah, I was wondering if you heard anything else about the Coffee group in Stratford.  I would really like to go.  Please let me know if you hear anything new :)

Just another note to let you know I had a Gastroscopy of the upper GI.  It was done after my upper GI series because they found some polyps.  If you had a clear upper GI you shouldn't have to have one done.
