So I have a question and I know I am only one week out tomorrow but I was wondering when everyone started excercising? Like even a long 30 min walk or anything. I just wanna work out so I don't get to much hangy skin lol

I am only 2.5 weeks out and I have been out walking since about 5 days post op.  I started slowly (I get tired quickly) but now am doing 4km in 45 minutes.  Hope to speed up at some point but also don't want to do anything to hurt myself as everything has gone well so far. Anything you do is better than nothing.

I have been walking everyday since surgery which was May 2nd.  Today I actually went to the gym and did 45 min on the treadmill with no incline and not a fast pace either.  I think the more you walk/sip the faster you will recover and get things moving!

Weights is another story, because you aren't able to pick up anything over 10pds (some say 5pds) for eight weeks. When you have your follow up with your surgeon, they can make that call.

I've been walking since about 3 days after surgery, initially on the treadmill and started at level 1 ( prior to surgery I was at a 5 speed for about 45 mins daily ) for 15 minutes at a time. I was advised at my 1 month check up no weights until 8 weeks, but bike, treadmill ( I have a mini at home gym ) and walking outside were encouraged. I'm planning to resume some simple yoga/pilates moves this week also.

Walking is great at this point, don't pu**** too hard. I started working out at about 5 weeks post op and just did what I could as I built up. No weights for a while as you heal. There's lots of time to workout, focus in just moving and healing for now.
