Ok so I am 12 days post op and friday night I made some home made chilli and used lean turkey instead of beef.  I blended it all up good and had some and I had no issues with it but Saturday night when I ate some oh man I was in alot of pain for like 4 hours and now I wake up today and I am still sorta off.  I drink water i get gas pains, I eat anything I get pressure and gas pains.  They eventually go away but as soon as drink or eat something the pain comes back.  Did I do damage???

Probably just gassy from the chili. Stick to mellow until it clears up....sip and walk.

I decided that  I am not going to try any kind of casserole until I know how I handle the pieces and parts that go into it. Even tomato soup scares me a bit.

Good luck!

I agree you probably still have a little gas. Maybe hold off on that type of food for a while. Boy, it sure sounds yummy! Can you share the recipe?

Haha Annette I actually don't have one I have never really cooked before so I threw a bunch of green and red peppers and diced tomatoes in the crock pot with some lean cooked turkey and chilli seasoning with some kidney beans and let it cook lol

I had a hard time digesting ground anything after surgery. I could handle it better at about a month out. Take it slow. I know I know, food tastes sooooo good after drinking your meals!
