I am really happy for you....I would also love to say I run marathons etc.....runners bodies always look so lean....but my knees and hips wouldn't be able to handle it either

Riding your bike is wonderful exercise...as is walking...swimming....things that get us moving and our heart pumping....there are so many things I just DO now that I would have shuddered at pre-surgery....

You have done so well......and the fact that you are getting yourself out there again after your surgery and illness is fantastic.....

I wish I could run also. The "when I'm thin" dream was always a bikini and to be a super athlete which in my mind was running. I had my toe joint fused last summer and not a lot running for me anymore.

It doesn't have to be running though does it?!

No it doesn't. I think that is why I like the biking. It still gives me freedom
