I have offered to up-date the angel list. Are you able to help by being an angel to someone.

As an angel you would stay in touch with the person having surgery. On the day of surgery find out from a member of their family the person has designate, how the surgery went and post how they are doing. Keep in contact and try to answer any questions they have.

Please let me know if you would like to help someone who is about to go through what you have already experienced.

I'd be happy to be an angel to anyone who is having their surgery at Toronto East General Hospital, since it's just a 5-10 minute walk from my house. I don't think I can commit to the other hospitals in Toronto right now since I'd like to be able to visit the person while they're in the hospital, and it's much easier for me to get to TEGH than the other hospitals.

I haven't had my surgery yet - does that matter? I'd totally volunteer for that. :)

I'm more than willing to be an angel. I had my surgery at HRRH.( 8 months out and very close to reaching my goal).

Note: I will be out of the country the beginning on June ( back4th week of june) . So no surgery dates during that period for me since I will not be able to do my duties.

Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.

Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!
