What are you eating doing today (Friday)
I didn't make it on yesterday. Lots of running around and working. I am hoping to stick to this today but not sure. I am in charge of plating and serving all the food. I have not had a cookie in 1 1/2 yrs. They are a major trigger for me. I am a really cookie monster. So will have to have lots of will power for the next couple of days.
b. greek yogurt, granola, blackberries
s. 1/2 apple
l. tuna, mayo, yogurt
s. protein bar
d. salmon, salad
s. large glass of wine!!
I will probably not be back on for awhile so have a great weekend everyone
Morning Pat - glad your work thing is almost over, and you'll be back to sanity next week. And good luck avoiding the cookies! Just think, almost over. It doesn't go into the weekend, does it? Also: are the blackberries from your yard? Our raspberries are ripening nicely. Still a bit puny, but much nicer and firmer than last year. Must be that fertilizer I spread in the spring, plus the major rain we've had this year.
Gained a pound yesterday. I think it might be time for me to abandon the scale for a few days - I'm psyching myself out. But I know exactly why I gained - stupid choices last night at dinner out. I made great choices for supper, an even better choice than I had planned ahead to make - a grilled shrimp and chicken salad, with the dressing on the side (which I didn't actually use), but then stupid me, I shared a dessert. On the odd occasion when I have a small forkful of someone else's dessert, it never bothers me or makes me want more. Last night, I was dumb and had several forkfuls. Luckily (or maybe not), I didn't dump. But I got the scale I deserved this morning. Well, at least I managed over 10,000 steps again yesterday, and today's a new day.
I'm so looking forward to the weekend! It's been an intense but fun week of doing new things at work. Next week I'm back to my old position just for one week to train the person who's going to be taking over my work for a year. So I'm going to enjoy this weekend - nothing major planned, just hanging out.

D - 3 oz BBQ'd shrimp, 1 oz grilled asparagus brushed with tiny bit of olive oil, 1/2 small ear of BBQ'd corn on the cob (I'm surprised that I like this without butter, but I tried it the other day and I really do!)
S - 1 cup skim milk
TOTALS: 102g protein, 25g fat, 57 carbs (47 net carbs), 853 calories

Homestyle Oatmeal cookies do it for me. The are banned from our home. I have indulged in them, and I have no problem tolerating them. They are just not necessary!!!
So. Today on my way to work I realized that I wore a new dress.....on casual day. Instead of jeans (shorts, skirt, capris, whichever). And I wore the dress because it's pretty. Because I like how I look in it. This is huge for me. I used to look forward to casual days so I could just be lazy and wear whatever is comfortable. This dress is comfortable, don't get me wrong....but I just surprised myself.

Went for a short run, and spin class at lunch.

Cleaning and reorganizing this weekend....it seems this is what we do on weekends without the kids LOL

Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!

Very rough week, so I NEED this weekend.
But first - tonight - restock the fridge and freezer - everything has gone into the garbage, about $70 worth of food. And I don't dare shop in my immediate neighbourhood, because I'm not 100% sure all the stores pitched all their perishables during our 3-day power outage.
The upside? I get to shop for new and interesting foods, always fun.

If you want to be absolutely sure, Gaby, my husband told me that the Superstore at Don Mills and Eglinton (which is near where he works) shut the store down for a few hours on Tuesday in order to pitch all the food that went bad when they had a power outage. Sure enough, when I went there on Tuesday night on the way home to grab a few things, their fish shelves were pretty much empty.
So you can be sure that they, at least, made sure to get rid of the perishables that needed getting rid of.

Good morning, everyone! Pat, I hope today's the last day of your conference. Cookies are a real temptation for me, too - wishin you lots of will power!
Today I am on a vacation day from work, to get some stuff done around the house and get ready for the cottage. I won't be posting for the next couple of days, but will keep tracking on my app! I just got back from a run - did 30 mins, 1 min walk, then another 30 mins. Getting ready for my 8K race next Friday!
Here's my eating plan for today:
B - 1/2 cup greek yogurt, 1/2 cup blackberries/blueberries, 1/2 tbsp. skinny b cereal, sf peach syrup.
S - 1 piece P28 bread, 1 tbsp. peanut butter
L - Leftover chicken from last night (100 grams dark meat), 1 cup spinach salad (with cucumbers, tomatoes, 1 tbsp. hemp hearts and 1 tbsp. balsalmic vinagrette).
S - Premier Protein Shake with SF syrup
D - Has to be on the go as we're headed to the cottage over dinner, so 2 eggs and 2 tbsp mayo (egg salad), 2 pieces melba toast, herb/garlic cheese string
S - SF jello, SF pudding (1 cup)
Totals - 1,242 calories, 70g carbs, 59g fat, 112g protein
