OMG surgeon appt
What Surgeon do you have?
He will talk about the risk of the surgery, it really is a short meeting 5-10 mins max.
Then they will give you Register nurse, Register Dietitian and Social worker appointments.
They try to give them to you all on the same day. Once you have those appointments books the girls will send you upstairs to Dr Glazer office ( internist ) His secretary will book a date to come in and see him, at that appointment he will tell you about other test you may need to have done, ie sleep test, upper GI. THEN after that is done you will call your Surgeons office to get your second appointment to meet him again. He will sign off give you the date for your surgery and you buy your Opti fast. This process can take a while to move thru, you may have a month or so in between meeting with Nurse, Dietitian and Social Worker before you get to Dr Glazer.
I'm with HRRH, you can check out my time line on the bottom of this post.
They are great and I have had nothing but good experiences. Well, except the social worker, she was a bit rude.
Yay!! Congrats!! :)
