RNY, 9.5 months post-op

Good morning, Pat!  I think Barb's away for a few days again.

Today I'm back in the office, so will be more regimented in my food intake.  That's good because the last few days have been tough with vacation, and some stress around giving notice at work (start a new job in just over 2 weeks!).  I'm going to hot yoga later tonight as well - need it to decompress!

Here's my eating plan:

B - 1/2 cup greek yogurt, 1/2 cup blackberries/blueberries, SF syrup. 1/2 tbsp. skinny B cereal

S - Pure protein bar, peach

L - Leftover steak from last night's dinner out, A1 sauce, 1 cup spinach salad with 1 tbsp. hemp hearts and 1 tbsp. balsalmic dressing.

S - Hummus with carrots, 2 pepperettes,

D - 4 turkey/ham roll-ups with 2 wedges laughing cow, Quest PB cups

S - 1/2 cup cottage cheese with cinnamon and splenda, SF jello

Totals - 1,587 calories, 89g carbs, 78g fat, 139g protein

Have a great day!

That is too bad you react to bananas. I don't dump on anything and wish I did!

Opti - Day 6

SF Jello - highlight of my day let me tell you.

I might get some Veggie Broth in today but I haven't had a aching for it. I have been able to get 3 shakes in the 4th I get in every other day or so.  I have found instant coffee is the secret and I don't need any other flavouring for now. Ask me again later, as I have 3 more weeks of this to go.

I have turned down cake, breakfast this morning at the office, lunch date. I had dreams last night of the best pizza on the face of the earth and I am currently mourning the loss of food. I haven't cheated and won't cheat but I didn't think my break up with food would be this emotional. I had a pity party for about an hour yesterday with a wee bit of a cry, wondering if I could keep this up but here I am ... one shake at a time. Eye on the prize is my moto these days. The weight loss I see on the scale from 6 days of Opti are making this a little easier, results make things better.

You are doing fantastic. It is not easy being on opti. I was only able to use coffee as well. I did not react well to the opti so only ever had 3 a day. So long as you are not hungry you should be fine

Good for you!  You will get stronger each and every day that you are on opti!  Surgery won't be long now.  All the best!

I loved choc opti w a lot of ice and either cold coffee instead of water. I also had it w a few drops of peppermint or a capful of orange extract(Terry's choc orange) or with a capful of banana and coconut (chocmonkey) or a pump of sf caramel flavour. And I always made sure I had a container of sf jello in the fridge- there were a couple of times I ate the whole thing I was so hungry.
