Just curious is it possible to lose a pound every day? I see some people's tickers and the loss is awesome....just wondered if it is possible...

Hey there,

I lost a pound a day on OF then lost an average of 4lbs per week til goal...I did awesome if I say so myself.  Never had stalls etc.  not sure if it was genes, luck or I just ended up doing it right...lol

I lost about a pound per day, usually a little more for 2 weeks after my surgery until I hit the dreaded stall after about 2 weeks.  The stall lasted about 3 weeks, but then I returned to rapid weight loss for quite a while.  I'm 5 and a half months out now and last month lost 12 lbs.

My ticker shows all the weight I lost since I was first referred to the bariatric program - about 15 lbs myself, and about 16 lbs on Opti, and the rest after surgery.  Perhaps that's what a lot of people are doing with their tickers.

I am only two months out - actually 2 months next week. But I have updated my tracker. I have lost 20lbs from referral to opti and about 9lbs on opti and the rest has been since surgery.  So I have lost about 37lbs in the las 7 weeks. I am just making sure I get my protein in each day, and trying to eat different everyday. So far so good.

All the best on your journey.

I am sure you didn't want a preach response...I am sur eit is possible for awhile at least..I am 5 1/2 yrs post op...and what I would say to anyone at the beginning of this journey..is DO NOT get hung up on the scale or numbers....& everyone loses at a different rate..studies have shown that those with greater amounts of weight to lose, sometimes lose more rapidly...so again it's difefrent for everyone...

my #1 tip as a veteran....only weight yourself once a week..same day and same time..

prior to surgery 323lbs....4 years post-op maintaining between 108- 114 lb loss.

life is AMAZING when you continue on the right path~!.  Use your surgeons gift to the fullest~!
