Chart going to rounds on Thursday....

If my chart goes to rounds this week, what do you suppose is a realistic timeframe for surgery, through TWH?

 

 

It really depends which surgeon you're assigned to, because that determines which hospital you'll be at. From what I've seen it seems TWH books faster than the other two, but I'm not sure whether there will be a slowdown in OR time with Christmas coming up. I know at TWH I was booked about 4 weeks away after my surgeon appointment and someone else I know who saw the surgeon three weeks before me but was assigned to TEGH was booked for January. She was able to get a cancellation though and got her surgery moved up to October. It's kind of up in the air, I think!

I agree with Katie, it really all depends on what center you are at. I was at TWH and they seem to move pretty quickly. If I was to make a guess....and it's purely a guess....I would estimate around mid January (taking Christmas time off's into account).

It seems like forever but it really goes sooo fast! Soon it will be your day....I can't believe I've had my surgery now!!

Wow, how did you get all those appointments in October?

Called in for cancellations...it's the best thing to do if your trying to get the process over with sooner than later...an good luck as well...let me kno when they contact you and who ur sergeon is...

It took 3 weeks for the chart to go around even though the surgeon said two.  My surgery was two months after that...I think your looking at January..see you next week
