Got my surgery date!!

Well I finished all my appointments on Friday and got the all clear! So I called and booked my date and got January 6, 2014! Completly scared now that it is all so real.

So I just have to do the pre-op testing on December 12, and start the optifast on December 16 (my daughter's 12th Birthday) which means her birthday dinner will be my last real meal so I better make it a good one! lol

Any advice from anyone going into this part of the journey? Will I survive? 

 

Congrats Cystal, I too got the green light but I have to go back to see the surgeon on December 2nd I guess I will know when my surgery date is then, where are you having your surgery?

Did they tell you why you have to see the surgeon again?

Very exciting but very scary!

I am having it at Humber River and Dr. Starr is my surgeon! 

Well that is a good question Crystal, after seeing Dr. Glazier and he gave me the green light he said to call dr. Klein's office to book a date, so i called the next day and was told I had to come in and see him first, I have done everything else too. So I really don't know why I was not given a date at the time of calling. 

That's crazy! I had to see the dietitian twice but I managed to make all the appointments work together in only 2 visits to the clinic and one sleep study!

I do have another visit with the SW & RD that would have been on Friday November 29th, but I could not get into seeing Dr. Klein that day, so everything was moved to Monday December 2nd.

fingers crossed that I will get a date!

Congratulations Crystal!! That is amazing, i would be on top of the world! My next set of appointments are December 3rd, i am hoping for the same news.  You really sailed through the process with only two visits and getting cleared and only a month since Orientation.  You will do great and will survive just fine, just think by next Christmas you will be a brand new person, what a great Christmas gift.
