Flying High!!! Got my call for Post Op Class in Guelph!!!

OMG!!! It happened finally!! I just got my call from Linda at the Guelph Clinic. My Post op class on Dec 9th!!!!

I went to the class today.  They told us that we r probably looking at end of January and February for surgery.

Wow that far? Oh well, at least Im on the way!!!

Do you mind summarizing and sharing your experience regarding your post-op class?  How long was it, what have you learned, how many people attended? Or any other info you are willing to share. I am still waiting for my phone call…

There were about 15 ppl attending.  We were all weighed first and given any paper work that needed to be given to the surgeon.

Audrey spoke first about a couple of minor details and then Nancy the nutritionist took over. She talked about the diet on opti and then the diet post op.

At the end the nutritionist told us that some of the ppl had gained weight and that the surgeon would frown upon this fact.

The whole meeting took about 1-1/2 hrs.

Thanks for your quick response, I actually gained 8 lbs since my last appointment, so I need to lose some weight, I don't want to be delayed and sent back to see nutritionist or social worker. My referral was sent in on Sep 25 th 2012 and I was delayed 8 months just because I had to go through the sleep study stuff (not very nice experience).  I was cleared by Audrey on October 29 th 2013, so my next step is to wait for their phone call for the post-op class. She told me post op class approx in Feb 2014, see surgeon in March and surgery May...long time to wait:)
