I also have very dry skin...even on my stomach.  I was told by the nurse that unless your incisions are completely healed don't put any lotion on them...even Vit E oils....it can lead to infection.  So if you have the same problem as myself and are not healed yet just put the lotion around the incision sites.  Once those sites are completely healed she recommended the Vit. E.

Everyday your skins sheds thousands of dead cells.  With rapid weight loss that process speeds up and leaves a layer of dead cells on your skin. Adding moisturizers to that dead skin is a bit like making pie crust.  The dead cells just get stickier and stay in place better.

What is needed is a lot of exfoliation.  Get rid of the "body dandruff" by dry brushing all over before your shower and then using exfoliating products to get to fresh skin.  Apply the moisturizer after exfoliating and you will be amazed at the difference.

Wow! You sound like you really know your stuff! What do you recommend to use for dry brushing?

Just use a nylon bath brush that you can buy at Walmart for about four dollars.  You don't need anything fancy, but can get something fancy if you want to.

I use coconut oil. I have a tub I cook w and I have tub for my skin. 

LOVE IT.  Use a little and goes a long way!

Try taking Omega 3 supplements. Work on the inside first :)

omg everything is so dry! my lips, my eyelids and my hands are the worst.

i feel like i can't drink enough water or put enough moisturizer on, ugh.
